How and where do I apply Lume Deodorant?Updated 3 months ago
Our Whole Body Deodorants can be used anywhere externally you might have odor and wish you didn't! This includes underarms, private parts, feet, under breasts, belly buttons & tummy folds -- you name it. Below are application directions for some of our most odor-prone areas, but feel free to experiment with where you want Lume Deodorant to control odor on your body!
Applying to Underarms
Underarms are, of course, a very common place to apply Lume Whole Body Deodorant!
Cream Formulas:
If you're using one of our Invisible Cream Deodorants, you want to make sure you're applying a pea-sized amount, give or take 🫛 Just rub it in like a lotion with clean fingertips! If that doesn’t seem quite right for your body, try just a tad more and see if that’s the sweet spot for you.
Solid Stick Formula:
If you're using the Smooth Solid Stick, 2-3 swipes should do the trick.
Applying to Private Parts
You can use either formula of Lume Deodorant to control BO anywhere externally, including private parts, however, it should never be used internally.
Cream Formulas:
For private parts, you'll want to use a pea-sized amount or less and rub it into the skin like a lotion. You may only need to apply a few times a week to private parts, even with regular showers, however, you'll want to experiment and find a routine that's perfect for you!
Solid Stick Formula:
Our Whole Body Solid Stick Deodorant was formulated and launched with underarms in mind, however, it can also be used anywhere on the external body like all of our other body care products. If you plan to use it on private parts, we recommend swiping a bit of product off the top and applying with fingertips. Most customers prefer having both the Solid Stick and the Cream formulas to choose from day to day.
Vulva Application - Working front-to-back (never work back-to-front due to increased risk for urinary tract infections), apply to the clitoral hood & labia majora (not inside the vagina or around the urethra), continue back further to the perineum (the space between the rectum and vaginal opening), and sweep up between the butt cheeks to the tailbone.
Applying to Feet
Just like with private parts, our Whole Body Solid Stick Deodorants can be used anywhere on the external body, however, our Whole Body Cream Deodorants are a prime candidate for foot application. We recommend concentrating a pea-sized amount around your toes and heel. If you want to apply to the whole foot, we would recommend using 2 peas!
